Possum Kingdom Volunteer Fire Department

About Us

The Possum Kingdom East Volunteer Fire Department serves the northwest corner of Palo Pinto County from the east side of PK Lake south to Highway 180, east to about halfway to Graford and west to the Stephens County line.

The department has grown from a converted delivery van to six modern units capable of attacking any type of fire or emergency. The department is also on the cutting edge of technology with the recent acquisition of an unmanned aerial vehicle system that can locate and help evaluate fire threats to structures and people as well as assist in finding the best means to attack a wild land fire. All this has been made possible by the support and generosity of the PK Lake community.

PK East VFD is staffed by men and women from the community it serves. Many of our members are crosstrained in both EMS and firefighting.

Please - Give us a Brake

Firefighters and emergency medical personnel are often at accident scenes. Roads can be blocked by accidents and firefighters must sometimes direct traffic for the safety of the public and emergency responders. If the road is open, proceed with caution to avoid another tragedy.
